It’s the foodie heaven in the Grampians; some even call it the ‘Gastronomic Grampians’! There was plenty to offer, from five-star dining to the much loved cosy cafes…every taste and food-mood gets fulfilled here.
With only a ten minutes short drive, I arrived at Harvest Halls Gap Café & Provedore. Boasting of beautiful interior design, you can enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining options. I do love eating alfresco with a chilled glass on a warm evening, which is perfect as their menu offers local wines and fresh produce from across the region.
Next stop, also just a stone throw away, it’s the Coolas Ice Creamery where I get to enjoy my share of delish desert of the day after a hike. Famous for the delicious home-made waffle cones and 36 succulent flavours of gourmet Ice Cream, this is a little taste of heaven after my exercise.
You can also stock up all your olives, olive oil, dukkah and more at the rustic farmgate at Red Rock Olives in Pomonal.
Marking the last stop in Grampians, I stopped by The Old Bakery & Café at Dunkeld for their variety of breads, baked daily and interestingly, discovered that they were recently opened as an accommodation to the public too! I would love to wake up in the mornings to the smell of freshly baked items.
